As supporters of the Mint Museum, the Young Affiliates raise funds to support a variety of Mint initiatives, such as art acquisitions, education programs, operating expenses, and outreach. We are dedicated to enhancing the cultural life of Charlotte through our financial contributions to the Mint Museum.

Young Affiliates 2011-12 Giving Campaign:
Project FundaMINTal
This year, from 1 July 2011 through 30 June 2012, the Young Affiliates will focus on Project FundaMINTal. Project FundaMINTal is our campaign to raise $20,000 that will help support the Mint’s Annual Fund. The Mint’s Annual Fund addresses the most critical needs of the museum. These needs include the following.
DYNAMIC EDUCATION PROGRAMS
Each year, the Annual Fund helps hundreds of gifted students and dedicated teachers engage with the world of art. This support ensures that The Mint Museum will continue to serve as an outstanding resource for our educational community and children.
ESSENTIAL COMMUNITY OUTREACH
At the heart of The Mint Museum’s work is its efforts to reach broad and diverse audiences who will become engaged with the museum. The Annual Fund will help support these important outreach programs.
TOP-TIER PERSONNEL
The Annual Fund ensures that the museum attracts and retains the most talented professionals in the field, as personnel expenses are among the highest in the annual operating budget of the museum. This support allows The Mint Museum to more strategically allocate these much-needed resources.
RENOWNED EXHIBITIONS
The Annual Fund strengthens The Mint Museum by providing operating support to present the highest caliber exhibitions to the community.
INNOVATIVE RESEARCH AND SCHOLARSHIP
The Annual Fund provides key funding for a variety of important research initiatives, which create a distinctive, multifaceted experience for audiences. It also provides unrestricted funds to support library resources, for example.
