Proceeds will go to Halston and Warhol: Silver and Suede Exhibition
This year, all proceeds from the event will go towards the Young Affiliates of the Mint’s sponsorship of the Halston and Warhol: Silver and Suede Exhibition, opening at Mint Museum Uptown on March 7, 2015.
Halston and Warhol is a captivating exhibition that, for the first time, unites the work of Roy Halston Frowick and Andy Warhol, offering a unique perspective on the intersections between their lives and creative practice. Organized by The Andy Warhol Museum, one of the four Carnegie Museums of Pittsburgh, in collaboration with Lesley Frowick (the niece of Halston), Halston and Warhol will incorporate approximately 40 of Halston’s creations, including the iconic pillbox hat designed for Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis and his signature Ultrasuede shirtdress, with a broad selection of paintings, photographs, and videos by Warhol. It will also feature a variety of archival material and ephemera that further links the two men both creatively and socially and explores their shared influences and interests.

The Peculiar Rabbit is an American farm-to-fork gastropub located in the vibrant Plaza-Midwood. Gastropub has taken on a lot of different meanings in the last few years but we like to think of ourselves as a food-forward neighborhood pub. We take traditional English fare and infuse it with southern ingredients from local suppliers. While our menu is more culturally diverse than straight English fare, the common denominator of our offerings is our attention to culinary fundamentals; our focus on our craft. Our hope is to create a unique dining experience for our guests in our lovely dining and bar areas.
Headquartered in Fort Mill, SC, just two miles from Charlotte, N.C., Red Ventures is a marketing and sales company with more than 1,900 employees across five offices in the U.S. Unlike companies who specialize in either online marketing, telephone sales or building technology infrastructure, we have an expertise in all three. Since 2000, the year Ric Elias and Dan Feldstein started the company in a basement, we have twice been ranked on the Inc. 500 list as one of the nation’s top 20 fastest growing companies.
Native Design Co. is the brainchild of friends and creative entrepreneurs, Jay Flood and Justin Smith, who shared a vision of making the World Wide Web more beautiful using their talents for web design, photography and videography. Justin and Jay come to their work with a background in art and design and experience in corporate advertising and web development. As Charlotte natives, they are committed to helping enrich their hometown’s cultural community.
