*NEW FOR 2014* This year’s Derby Days will spotlight our signature Derby cocktail, The Mint’s Julep, featuring Maker’s Mark® Bourbon Whiskey and Maker’s 46® Bourbon Whiskey, using the recipe of Heist Brewery’s award-winning mixologist, Stefan Huebner. The YAMs will also sponsor a Dapper Dan contest for the best-dressed gentleman at Derby Days.
Celebrate the 24th Annual Derby Days with the Young Affiliates of The Mint. Enjoy an afternoon of entertainment that includes live music, lawn games, and a large-screen viewing of the race live from Louisville, Kentucky. Attendees arrive decked out in sundresses and seersucker to watch “The Greatest Two Minutes in Sports,” listen to music, and enjoy free beverages and food from top area restaurants. Derby Days will also feature a hat contest for the ladies, a silent auction and a 50/50 cash raffle where you pick which horse will make it to the Winner’s Circle. Join us after Derby Days for our Official After-Party at Peculiar Rabbit!

The Peculiar Rabbit is an American farm-to-fork gastropub located in the vibrant Plaza-Midwood. Gastropub has taken on a lot of different meanings in the last few years but we like to think of ourselves as a food-forward neighborhood pub. We take traditional English fare and infuse it with southern ingredients from local suppliers. While our menu is more culturally diverse than straight English fare, the common denominator of our offerings is our attention to culinary fundamentals; our focus on our craft. Our hope is to create a unique dining experience for our guests in our lovely dining and bar areas.
Headquartered in Fort Mill, SC, just two miles from Charlotte, N.C., Red Ventures is a marketing and sales company with more than 1,900 employees across five offices in the U.S. Unlike companies who specialize in either online marketing, telephone sales or building technology infrastructure, we have an expertise in all three. Since 2000, the year Ric Elias and Dan Feldstein started the company in a basement, we have twice been ranked on the Inc. 500 list as one of the nation’s top 20 fastest growing companies.
Native Design Co. is the brainchild of friends and creative entrepreneurs, Jay Flood and Justin Smith, who shared a vision of making the World Wide Web more beautiful using their talents for web design, photography and videography. Justin and Jay come to their work with a background in art and design and experience in corporate advertising and web development. As Charlotte natives, they are committed to helping enrich their hometown’s cultural community.
