Participants will run 5,280 feet starting in front of the McColl Center for Visual Art and passing Discovery Place, Spirit Square, the statues at Trade & Tryon, and ending in front of the Bechtler Museum of Modern Art and the Mint Museum. The Charlotte Museum Mile will benefit the ACS.

Before the race, you’re are invited to a happy hour on Thursday, 19 April at American Roadside Burger. Stop by and meet other young professionals and network with fellow runners.

6:30 p.m.
Unfurl your imagination and experience fashion designs formed from the subconscious minds of local designers Tara Davis and Luis Machicao in partnership with The Art Institute of Charlotte and The Mint Museum.
7:30 p.m.
Dreamscapes: Jungian Analysis and the Surrealist Movement
Randal; Mishoe, D. Min. and Dorothy Campbell, M.N. tap into the work of the Surrealists to launch an exploration of the symbolism of dreamscape, and its relationship to the dream work of the psyche.

This event is open to both members and nonmembers, so be sure to bring a friend!

This final weekend’s event is sure to bring a very large crowd to The Mint Museum as there will be  free admission and a series of events and crafts throughout the day. In addition, Mint Museum Uptown is extending its hours until 9:00 p.m.

PARKING DIRECTIONS FOR THE EVENT:
After crossing Tryon Street, make a right turn into an alleyway which begins directly before the overhead walkway. There is a large black sign indicating Interstate Tower and City Club Parking. Follow the alleyway to the left and up to the ticket dispenser with the mobile arm. Find parking in the Charlotte City Club reserved parking spaces. After parking, take the elevator to the main lobby of the building. There will be a sign indicating which set of elevators to take for the CITY CLUB. Press LC indicating LOWER CLUB AREA, which is on the 31 st floor.

This committee will be directly involved in helping to plan, market, and sponsor the
Derby Days event on Saturday, 5 May. This meeting will get us in order to set the stage,
introduce committee chairs and discuss your fabulous ideas on how to make
2012 the best Derby Days party yet.
