The Young Affiliates of the Mint strive to offer cultural engagement and networking opportunities to our members throughout the year with the goal of enhancing and promoting artists and members from all backgrounds.
Events range from curatorial tours of the Mint Museum's exhibitions and gallery crawls to oyster roasts and after-work Happy Hours.
Past events include Graphic GarMint, an exhibition of local black graphic designers and artists, a Hispanic Heritage celebration and gallery tour by Rosalia Torres-Weiner and various gallery tours and member networking socials.

AdornMINT is a one-night only cultural experience and art exhibition celebrating the art of adornment. From scarves and henna to jewelry and decor, come experience this showcase of adornment techniques from over 15 presenting artists and shop at our accompanying vendor village.
This exhibition is curated by Davita Galloway and presented by the Young Affiliates of the Mint in collaboration with the Mint Museum.
This event will be held at the Mint Museum Uptown (500 S. Tryon St., Charlotte, NC 28202).

Join our vendor village
Come showcase and sell your unique creations at our AdornMINT Vendor Village! AdornMINT is a cultural experience and art exhibition, presented by the Young Affiliates of the Mint in collaboration with the Mint Museum, with over 15 presenting artists and has historically seen over 1,400 guests in attendance on opening night. This year’s AdornMINT celebration will be held from 5 to 9pm, on Wednesday, May 1, 2024.
We invite you to be part of this celebration where adornments come to life as part of our AdornMINT vendor village. From apparel to accessories, grills to henna, come share your creative adornments and the ways you express yourself with the Charlotte community.
