AdornMINT is a one-night only cultural experience and art exhibition celebrating the art of adornment. From scarves and henna to jewelry and decor, come experience this showcase of adornment techniques from over 15 presenting artists and shop at our accompanying vendor village.

This exhibition is curated by Davita Galloway and presented by the Young Affiliates of the Mint in collaboration with the Mint Museum.

2024 Derby Days

Pull out your seersucker suits and fanciest hat! The YAMs are hosting the 33rd Annual Derby Days event on Saturday, May 4 from 3 – 7 p.m. on the lawn of Mint Museum Randolph in Charlotte.

Named the “Best Party for Young Socials” by The Charlotte Observer, Derby Days brings together more than 300 of Charlotte’s Young Professionals to enjoy a day of live music, lawn games, Mint Juleps, open wine and beer, food trucks, lawn games, Insta-worthy photo backdrops, Kentucky Derby raffle and a large-screen viewing of the Kentucky Derby, dubbed “The Most Exciting Two Minutes in Sports.” There's even a Best Dressed and Best Hat Contest.

This event is for patrons 21 years of age or older.

All proceeds raised at the event will sponsor free tours of The Mint Museum for Charlotte Mecklenburg school students to inspire a new generation of artists, art enthusiasts, and leaders.

A Celebration of Black Art through Conversation

Come join the Young Affiliates of the Mint in celebration of Black History Month featuring an artist showcase and conversation with Komikka Patton, Davita Galloway, DaRemen and Georgie Nakima. This event will be held at The Mint Museum - Randolph from 6:30p - 8:30p on February 8, 2024.

This one night only exhibition will feature Komikka, Davita, DaRemen and Georgie’s work and cultural experiences to celebrate Black History Month including a Q&A moderated by Makayla Binter with the four artists. Tickets include access to this unique experience and (1) beverage ticket. Additional drinks will be available for purchase at the cash bar.

CLT Hornets Game Day & Mural Tour

On Wednesday, January 31st, the YAMs are hosting a Game Day Mural Tour at the Spectrum Center. Join the YAMs at 4 p.m. for a private behind-the-scenes tour of the art and murals of the Spectrum Center. Afterwards, head to a lower level section to watch the players warm up until 5:30 p.m.

Stick around after the private experience to mingle with your fellow YAMs and cheer on the Charlotte Hornets as they take on the Chicago bulls.  When you purchase tickets through hornetstix.com/YAM, a portion of proceeds will be donated to the Mint Museum to help fund school tours.

2023 Fall Ball

The Young Affiliates of the Mint are proud to invite you to our annual Fall Ball – Art Legends! Honoring artists from the past, present, and future up and coming artists.
 
The Fall Ball brings together Charlotte’s young professionals to enjoy a night of live music, dancing, cocktails, delicious food, and a chance to enjoy a formal night out with your friends.

While the attire is formal, we encourage you to select an outfit inspired by your favorite artist or piece of artwork. Grab your best dress, suit, gloves, hats, and shoes for a night with the Legends! The “Best Dressed” individual will receive a complimentary custom sport coat from OMJ Clothing valued at $995.

NEW THIS YEAR, we will have a VIP hour at the ball! VIP guests will have one hour to speak with some of our special guests and receive a private viewing of “The Art of Seating” gallery. VIP attendees will be offered signature hors d'oeuvres and cocktails at this intimate experience.

During the ball, we’ll have a silent auction along with various ways to give back throughout the night. All proceeds raised at the event will sponsor free tours of The Mint Museum for Charlotte Mecklenburg school students to inspire a new generation of artists, art enthusiasts, and leaders.

Parking is located in the parking garage of the Mint Museum along with parking across the street. If you don’t want to drive, grab a friend and ride share!

YP Mixer

The Charlotte Young Professional (YP) Mixer is a city-wide event for young professionals in Charlotte looking to explore the interests and missions of different Charlotte-area young professional organizations. The Young Affiliates of the Mint partner with 20+ different local YP & Non-Profit organizations and welcome over 300 YP’s for this singular event.

Tickets include (1) beer/wine ticket, light hors d'oeuvres, and a complimentary headshot. We will have a DJ to set the vibe, 20+ Young Professional Organizations and Nonprofits to learn about, and we will be holding a raffle for a $500 Gift Certificate to OMJ Clothing.
